Brava: PAICV Representative Strengthens Dialogue with Institutions on the Island
Maria Antónia Alves, the PAICV representative elected from Brava, gave a positive assessment today of her two-day visit to the island, where she held courtesy meetings with the National Police and the District Court.
Speaking to Inforpress about the meetings held on October 15 and 16, the ruling party’s lawmaker explained that the initiative aimed to establish institutional dialogue and gain insight into the main challenges faced by the local public safety and justice sectors.
Maria Antónia Alves emphasized the intention to gather the top concerns of both entities in order to forward them to the government to seek solutions that ensure better operating conditions in the municipality.
The visit is part of an effort to monitor the work of public institutions in Brava, with the goal of strengthening citizens’ trust in the authorities and promoting the rule of law and civic engagement on the island.
